My name is Ursula and I’m currently a computer science PhD student at CUNY. My key research interests include autonomy over various horizons and goal reasoning. In my research I like to investigate the various processes that take place in goal reasoning and how the results can be changed by augmenting those processes. Currently I’m researching how a motivation system inspired by the human motivation system can help autonomous agents formulate goals from a more general, pool of goals that are not tailored to the agent. This motivation system operates in tandem with a goal reasoning system to control the individual goal reasoning phases and subprocesses.
